Overview

Tikkle is a social campus app that helps college students connect, share resources, and thrive together in real life.

Tikkle, Founding Product Designer (2025 – Present)
I built Tikkle as a founding designer before we launched, drawn to a question that felt personal: in a world where digital relationships are increasingly the norm, how do we help college students build real ones?

Tikkle is a live social platform for students, a space to share resources, connect with peers, and earn rewards through research participation. Since day one, I've been shaping the full design system, key user flows, and brand identity, working closely with our founding team to go from zero to a product that's live in market.

What keeps me here is the mission: giving students a place to communicate freely, discover each other, and genuinely benefit from campus life together.

Takeaway

Through this research, a key insight emerged: students needed more than a place to borrow things. They needed one space to find useful, relevant information quickly and easily. Platforms like Discord and Instagram are too volatile and easy to miss, and while interest-based feeds exist, none are meaningfully built around campus life.

These learnings are now driving Tikkle forward, rapidly sketching and testing concepts with AI, making fast decisions, and iterating toward a product that truly fits how students live.

KPT Retrospective

We've gathered 200+ pre-signups, validating early demand before building in full. A core shift in our workflow has been moving away from shipping everything at once; instead, we're breaking the product into the smallest testable steps and getting it in front of users as early as possible.

As a founding member, I'll keep iterating fast, making sharp decisions, and ensuring every step we take is grounded in what real users actually need.

Keep

Moving fast and testing often is what's working. Beyond design, I've been actively finding ways to contribute to planning and development, stepping in wherever I can add value as a founding team member.

Problem

Since none of us are current students, understanding the nuances of student culture doesn't always come naturally. There are gaps in perspective that are hard to close from the outside.

Try

Continuously collaborating with student interns to close that gap, keeping them involved in the process so we can build with a more grounded understanding and test ideas faster with people who actually live this experience.

Always opened to have a coffee chat:)
