About

Providing self-driving libraries that come to children living in library deserts.

WonderWheel is a project by Team Co:motion (Sienna Lee, Sawani Mardhekar, Kyuri Kim), created in collaboration with UNICEF Innovation Node. Rooted in equity and accessibility, it reimagines how public libraries can serve as engines of social inclusion by reaching children in underserved communities—particularly those living in library deserts across America.

Needs & Solutions

  1. Sustained engagement — Current bookmobiles spark excitement but fail to build ongoing reading habits.

  2. Parental involvement — Parents often lack knowledge of schedules and resources, which limits their support.

  3. Safe, equitable access — Busy and low-income families struggle with distance, time, and safety concerns.
